The first one is a website called MINT. This is quite possibly the easiest tool I've found to set up a budget and gain some insight into where exactly ALL your money is going. I must warn you...the initial shock of seeing your spending trends can be extremely hazardous to your health. Some may need a bottle of Jack Daniels. The great thing about this website is it's F-R-E-E. All that is required is an email address and password to start. Once you've logged in you set up your checking, savings, credit card, and loans through your ONLINE ID's and passwords for each account. After setting up your accounts MINT will automatically update them when you sign on. It then reads and categorizes your transactions AUTOMATICALLY. The only thing I had to do was go in a "tweak" some of the transactions to read correctly. You can view spending trends, keep track of loans and payments, and create spending limits for each category. MINT will even send you text message alerts when you go over budget and email you weekly summaries of you accounts. It will also tell you when loan and credit card payments are due. For those of us who don't have the time, and refuse to spend an exorbitant amount of energy loading info into a computer to set up a budget (i.e. Quicken or Micorsoft Money); THIS SITE IS FOR YOU. Did I mention that it's FREE!
The second website is a web browser called Flock. I have to admit I've downloaded this to my computer and just haven't had the time to explore all it's features. Basically it allows the user to surf the net, edit and post blogs, twitter, and view your myspace and facebook accounts all from one page. There's much more to it that I just can't get into because I haven't used it yet. It's just another web tool to use that hopefully makes your life a little more convenient. Now, go to McDonald's and order a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
